Haiger, December 2021 ­–At the beginning of December, Carl Cloos Schweißtechnik GmbH in Haiger honoured 30 employees for their many years of service. The anniversary celebrants look back at a total of 655 years with the company.

In his speech, Thomas thanked the employees for their commitment and dedication. “You actively drive innovations and further developments and introduce new employees to our technologically highly demanding products with enthusiasm."

Many jubilees have already completed their training at CLOOS and have  remained loyal to the company to this day. In total, the average length of service is more than 20 years. "We can be proud of this, because the comprehensive know-how and the wealth of experience of our employees are the basis for the success of our company," emphasises Managing Director Sieghard Thomas.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the traditional anniversary celebration had to be cancelled this year again. Instead, the employees were honoured in small groups. A sufficient safety distance could be maintained in the large production hall. With face and nose protective masks, the jubilees received gift baskets with delicacies from the region. Despite the unusual circumstances, the long-time employees shared some anecdotes and stories from the past. In addition to CEO Sieghard Thomas, CTO Stephan Pittner, CFO Alexander Veith and Human Resources Manager Michaela Hanz congratulated them.

Albrecht Stiehl celebrated a special anniversary. The qualified electrician joined the company on 1 August 1971. During his 50 years with the company, he was significantly involved in building up the commissioning department and headed the department until his retirement at the end of the year. "I always enjoyed working with my team colleagues," says Stiehl. "I especially enjoyed seeing how the younger staff members developed over time.”
