The external ignition module, which can be combined with QINEO QuesT, ensures safe ignition of the TIG arc over long cable distances between the welding power source and the welding torch. The module is mounted close to the welding process so that the torch cable package can be kept as short as possible. The short transmission distance of the ignition voltage reduces interference to surrounding components and prevents ignition voltage losses in large overall systems. You can connect up to four ignition modules to one QINEO QuesT. This allows alternate operation of multiple welding torches and wire drives on one power source. The ignition module is modular and has numerous monitoring components as standard (e.g. water flow sensor, temperature monitoring, ignition voltage monitoring, etc.). The sensor measures the flow rate of the shielding gas and forwards the signal to the QINEO QuesT, where it is processed in the optional WPM (Weld Process Monitoring). Control and monitoring of the gas flow rate is thus performed close to the welding process.
