The external ignition module, which can be combined with QINEO QuesT, ensures safe ignition of the TIG arc over long cable distances between the welding power source and the welding torch. The module is mounted close to the welding process, so that the torch hose package can be made as short as possible. The short transmission distance of the ignition voltage reduces interference to surrounding components and prevents ignition voltage losses in large overall systems. You can connect up to four ignition modules to one QINEO QuesT. This allows alternate operation of multiple welding torches and wire drives on one power source. The ignition module is modular and has numerous monitoring components as standard (e.g. water flow sensor, temperature monitoring, ignition voltage monitoring, etc.). Especially in the TIG welding process, the amount of shielding gas has a high influence on the quality of the weld. An optional flow control valve enables infinitely adjustable quantity control here.
