Fendt is the high-tech brand of the AGCO Corporation, one of the world's largest manufacturers and suppliers of tractors and agricultural machinery. When welding safety cabs for tractors, the company relies on welding technology from CLOOS. In the two-station system, two robots weld components of the cab floor assembly. The Vari Weld welding process is used here, in which a particularly stable, low-spatter pulsed arc is generated. The robots are equipped with a tool changing system and tack threaded studs onto the floor assembly after welding. The robots are mounted on a positioner with vertical stroke so that they can move flexibly to the optimum welding position. The double station workpiece positioner with horizontal station change enables the workpieces to be removed and inserted while the robots weld at the same time. Both stations are equipped with a rotating and swivel axis. This enables hard-to-reach areas to be reached and optimum weld seam quality to be achieved.
