Driescher-Wegberg's switchgear is modular in design and can be assembled individually. Driescher-Wegberg responds flexibly to special customer requirements. Due to the large variety of products, small batch sizes are usually produced. This is why the company uses the offline programming software RoboPlan from CLOOS. While production is running in the system, a new program can be created in RoboPlan at the same time. Here, welding, search and travel paths and tools are defined on 3D models, for which the welding parameters and other functions required for running the program are then defined. By using the robot system with the CLOOS-RoboPlan software for offline programming, Driescher-Wegberg was able to further increase the welding quality and at the same time significantly reduce the production time.
