Otto Nussbaum GmbH & Co KG has been using welding robots from Carl Cloos Schweißtechnik GmbH since the 1980s. To mark the company's 75th anniversary in 2018, the lifting platform manufacturer from Kehl in Baden-Württemberg comprehensively modernized its production facilities. The QIROX QR-CC-4.1 compact cells have a 2-station workpiece positioner with vertical changeover and vertical rotation. With a clamping length of up to 1,250 mm and a maximum load capacity of 250 kg per side, a wide range of workpieces can be processed on the system. The systems are equipped with the new QIROX QRH-280 welding robot, which was specially developed for the compact cell solutions from CLOOS. The compact robot cells and systems are characterized by maximum production flexibility, as the modular design enables individual extensions and retrofits at any time.
